Hello,
I recently purchased 2 new 1TB WD Red drives:

I also purchased the WD My Cloud EX2100 for the two drives. I noticed lots of posts over the past few years regarding the 8 second head parking concern with the WD Red drives, but the model numbers all appeared to be for legacy drives. I haven’t seen any concerns with this issue on the new drives, but that’s my question. What is the head parking delay on the model number I’ve recently purchased? I’m not able to attach the drive to my main PC, and given that all the utilities I’ve seen (wdidle.exe) require this, I’m not able to test it. I’m not even sure if wdidle.exe would work on this drive as that exe is over 2 years old now.
What is the head parking delay on these newer drives and is it possible to modify them if necessary?
Thanks,
Mark
