WD TV Live: Favorites not working if connected over wireless (Media Library)

Hello.

From recent firmware, I have very  annoying problem

  • WD TV Live is connected over wireless
  • Media Library is over network share
  • I have couple of folders marked as favorite

Every time when I start WD TV Live, and try to access particular favorite folder, it states that Media source is removed :frowning: and have to navigate “by hand” to the folder.

Any way to overcome this terrible behavior?

Regards,

Dejan

I think your post is in the wrong forum. This forum is for the 2009 model WDTV Live HD and 2010 model WDTV Live Plus.

The forum for the 2011 WDTV Live Streaming Media Player is here:

I’m not sure what could be causing your issue.   I do the same thing with mine, but never have seen that issue.

Are you sure your Media Library is actually CONNECTED and “Ready” state before you navigate those folders via Favorites?

Well, it does.

Don’t take my word for it, User Manual, page 27 (Finding your content):

To add additional source content to My Media Library, please do one of the following:

  • Attach USB storage to one of the USB ports on the media center and it is automatically added to media library.
  • Connect to a Windows or Linux Share (see “Network Share” on page 29). While browsing the content inside, press Option to add a share folder to the Media Library.

If I decide to browse Media Library (going over Video …) all is fine.

Only if I go via Favorites it causes a problem.

I will check as soon as I am home am I in right forum, thanks.

Dragi Dejane,

vech je potvrdjen taj problem.

Favorites ne radi na zadnjem FW.

Moj ti je prijedlog da vratish FW na prethodni ili onaj koji ti je zadnji put radio

prijashnje FW imash ovde
