WD TV media player MP4 Issues STILL

hi guys is anyone else having this problem with mp4 files

i start a movie and after about 20 mins the screen turns black then comes back on showing the 1080p screen res then the movie comes back on 20 mins later does it again

i have a couple of friends  with the same unit and theirs do it also

I’ve flashed the firmware to 1.02.17 but makes no difference

tried playing the files of the network storage  and local of a flash drive makes no difference

All the files play on both my other  WD TV LIVE units but not on this new one any ideas ?

No problems with MP4 on this end. Just for fun, have you made sure, the HDMI cable is properly pluggeg in? Mine is a little bit too big, so when I attach a hdd to the player, I sometimes see the WDTV lose connection to the TV for a second.

tried that using same hdmi cable on both players works on my live ok and my PC

if it was just the hdmi on mine  i would understand but same problem with both my buddys units also

tried setting output to 1080P 60hz etc tried 720p  also got same problem doesnt do it on avi files just mp4

put the piece of junk back in the box hooked my live back up until WD fix their firmware :angry::robotmad:
