What do you guys do for folder thumbs?

I have gone from it working perfect to i dont understand whats wrong.

I have my own folder thumbs for each folder movies, tv series,cartoons and drives and so on and so on, i have em all named  _folder.metathumb and 2 weeks ago they started messing up some wont show at all and others gets overwritten by other metathumbs in the folder and i can see no logic to it has anyone found something that works?

all my thumbs are metathumbs.

Try renamimg your folder thumbs to “folder.jpg” (without quotation maks) for each folder, that works for me.

It might also be worth deleting the hidden .wdtv folder on your drive,it will regenerate the next time you start your SMP.

tx for the answer but dosent help already tried folder.jpg _folder.jpg  foldername.jpg/metathumb nothing seems to work

If you’re using the internal scrapper to get you movie thumbs, then use either “1.metathumb” or “A.metathumb”.

You can’t use “folder.jpg” if you have metathumbs in that folder.

I am not using the internal scaper i am using thumbgen but by having the thumb as metathumb it allows me ti have 2 moviesheets per movie so will this still work

Even if you are using Thumbgen, if you are generating .metathumbs then you still need to use either “1.metathumb” or “A.metathumb” for your folder thumb because metathumbs and jpgs don’t work together and .metathumbs will override any .jpg.

If your are using .jpgs for all your thumbs, then just use “folder.jpg”.

I don’t know what you are asking, but metathumbs don’t have anything to do with moviesheets.  But  you can have as many moviesheets as you want per movie, all you have to do is to add the other moviesheets to the movies xml file.
