Yesterday, I connected my new My Cloud 2 TB to the router.
When I go with my PC (Windows 7, 32 Bit) to My Cloud, it says “no my cloud devices found.”
Several times reset, no success.
I installed the My Cloud app on my Ipad and IPhone and that works fine! WD is recognized and I can copy / backup the files.
So there is a network connection.
Can anyone tell me how to solve the problem with my PC ??
Have you tried placing the IP address of your MyCloud in your browser? This should pull up the Dashboard. You can find the MyCloud IP inside you routers IP Table.
Are you trying to get to a particular share on the MyCloud through Win 7, or are you just setting up the MyCloud?
Yesterday, I started with My Cloud from my Windows PC without succes.
After trying several things, I did the setup with the Dashboard http://wdmycloud
This was succesful, the WD My Cloud updated the firmare and I saw the Dashboard and round circle.
It looks that the hardware is correct.
Strange that I still can’t find the My Cloud from my PC.
How can I find which workgroup the WD My Cloud is located? (I suggest also in the same WORKGROUP).
Tried several things, I am a little bit further, but still without complete succes.
I can Ping my WD My Cloud.
I can find it in my network.
If I install WD Smartware, the install program finds the WD My CLoud
But still, if I want to install it in WD Install Software the WD My Cloud is not recognized.
Even the app from my Iphone works oke, even outside my network…
Is there maybe an alternative WD Install Software available? I use 1.2.4.19
