I’ve converted a DVD to an MKV-Videofile, to play it on my WD TV Live TV. I converted the original subtitles to an external SRT-Subtitlefile. The SRT-Subtitle is displayed correct so far. But SRT files don’t support the original position information of the DVD subtitles. A*S*S subtitle files support the original positions and linebreaks, so I’ve converted the subtitle also to an A*S*S file. But my both WD Live TV don’t display the A*S*S file correct. Subtitles after a linebreak won’t be displayed and also positioning informations will be ignored by the player. Is it planned to fix this bugs??

Gibt’s irgendnen Grund, im deutschsprachigen Forum englisch zu posten? In meinem sticky im englischen Forum steht, dass A S S nicht richtig unterstützt wird, quasi keinen Deut besser als SRT ist.

sorry, hatte irgendwie nicht gemerkt, dass ich im deutschen Forum bin.
Also, SRT-Untertitel funktionieren super. A S S - Untertitel können jedoch zusätzliche Infos,
wie z.B. die Position des Originaluntertitel übernehmen. Die Position von SRT Untertitel kann
ich nur über das Untertitel-Menü im Player justieren. Das hat manchmal zur Folge, dass bei erzwungenen Untertiteln (wo z.B. ein englischer Untertitel im Bild eingebrannt ist), der SRT-Untertitel diesen überlagert und der SRT-Untertitel durch die Überlagerung schlecht zu lesen ist. Ich hoffe mal, ich hab das verständlich ausgedrückt
