I Recently brought EX2 Mycloud, i was wondering i plan ahead incase, incase of a failure i’m using raid 1, what Drive does WD use? Blue or red or? i’m looking on amazon but unsure.
You want Red Plus or Red Pro.
Verify that whatever you buy are CMR drives, not SMR drives. (the generic WD red has SMR drives in the smaller sizes)
The “blue” drives are basic desktop drives; not meant for 24/7 NAS use.
do you know what sort of drive on amazon for example so i got an idea?
