Hi,
what if one of my smr drives (6tb) in my mycloudEx2 will go down. Can I replace it with an red pro an leave the second drive at standard red smr? Will the replication go well?
Thanks cashi

As long as the new drive is not SMR; a NAS rated drive from any brand would likely be fine.
I believe the “old” Red NAS that are OEM for these units are 5400 rpm CMR. (Red plus) The red pros are 7200 rpm
some older WD red drives were not marked as PRO but were still CMR types
but did have a buffer : 64 MB" in the device name
These were in a white OEM box at computer store
I moved most of my SMR 4 tb WD for use as long term backup storage
Raid re-build takes a lot longer if a SMR is the one doing all the writes
