I have been having this issue for a while now that I cannot seem to figure out.
First of all I am on a Mac and my MyCloud is connected via Google WiFi. The unit is in my bedroom and online (I can see it is only because it is mounted on my desktop and I can access the files). However, when I go to mycloud.com and log in I get an error page that says my MyCloud is offline. Mind you, in my Finder folder I can access all the shared folders. I want to be able to send a folder I uploaded to my MyCloud with a friend with a shared link but with mycloud.com saying I am offline I can’t do anything…
Make sure Remote Access/Cloud Access is enabled in the My Cloud Dashboard > Settings and that at least one user (created via the My Cloud Dashboard) has been granted remote access to the My Cloud.
Sometimes one has to turn off remote access in the Dashboard, wait a few minutes, then re-enable it to get it working. In other cases one’s ISP/broadband provider may be blocking the default ports (80,443) that are used for the My Cloud remote access. In this case one would need to set remote access in the Dashboard to manual, set alternate ports, then enable port forwarding within the local network router. See the My Cloud User Manual for more information.
