I have a WD TV live gen3 and it has one HDMI and digital audio out.
my question is, if I buy a home theater system and there is only one HDMI out in the back and one digital audio, would it work okay? to put a hdmi cable from tv live box to the samsung tv and the digital audio cable from tv live to home theater??

Yes, you should be able to set that manually on the settings of the unit. You will need to select were you want the audio and the video.
