Device Reset

Hello,
This is my first experience with this product and I am trying to confirm a basic piece of information. Can anyone confirm that a 40 second reset of a WD Mycloud EX2 device will NOT erase my data?

Again, I realize this may be basic information, but I contacted support two days ago to assist me with a reset issue and I am still anxiously waiting.
