Error Creating a safe point on a LAN Device

Hi,

I’m trying to create a safepoint from one WD My Cloud to another (clean) WD My Cloud both are 2TB,

Both have firmware v03.04.01-230

And I’m getting this Error “Failed request received during this safepoint operation. (402002)”

The destination share has Public access (I also tried with admin access)

Can some one help me please  :)

Well apperantly the share on the 2nd Drive needs to be less then 8 Charecters (it was 9 now it’s 3).

It’s still on Public access, i’ll update (if I remember) if it also works with admin access !!!

I believe that safepoint only works with a USB attached drive which the mycloud is not. It does support adding USB drive to the mycloud but it will not function as a USB drive to another device

Have you looked at the Help information provided under Safepoint in the Dashboard? See image below. Follow the steps and see if that will help.
