I am in the proces of buying an EX4 and I would like to know what is the most efective way of copying/transferring the files from a MyCloud Duo?
The MyCloud Duo is set up as capacity is 3TB (2No 3TB Drives), Raid 1 and has one network and one USB 2 connection. There is approximarly 2.5 TB of data I would like to transfer to the EX4. The Ex will have 4No 4TB drives.
Once the EX 4 is setup can I for example take one of the drives (3TB) from the WD Cloud Duo and insert into the EX 4 and let the EX 4 replicate the files on to the other drives?
Is there away of connecting the two drives that would enable to copy the files across without send the files via the laptop?
Any thoughts, ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Just connect your MyBook live duo to the EX4 usb port. From the webpage use the backup option to backup your data from the MBL duo to the EX4.
Basically I decided to use rsync processes running on the EX4 and it was copying from the MyBookLiveDuo. This requires you to have ssh access to both and there are warnings when you decide to do this - but maybe not much more scary than the “Are you sure” messages on WIndows. The transfer rate is a bit disappointing - mostly between 5 MB/s and 8MB/s.
Someone suggested to me to plug the MyBookLiveDuo as a USB device on the MyCloudEX4 but I got nowhere with that.
