Hdmi has died

I’ve recently logged a warranty and replacement for my wd live tv hub as the hdmi has died.

I get a picture now and again but it has lines all over and it also just disappears.

How long does it normally take WD to get back to people as it has been nearly a week now and all I’ve had is an automated response.

I’ve dealt with other big companies and they have had the issues sorted and replaced within a week.

This is terrible customer support from WD for a product that wasn’t cheap.

Hi bobbydigital, please check your private messages.

It says I have none.

It’s funny I’ve been having a bit of problem too with my HDMI flickering (snow screen for a split-second) once in a while. I thought it to be from my A/V receiver but now come to think of it, the problem might stem from the WD HUB.

All being taken care of now with a replacement being sent.

I received my replacement hub today and guess what it is clearly not a new unit it is covered in loads of scratches around the hdmi where some moron couldn’t put the cable in straight.Scratches all over the botom of the unit it didn’t even come in a new box.

I am absolutly fuming about this.

If they expect me to pay for this within 30 days they can think again this best be sorted within the 30 days of the RMA there is no way I’m paying anything for this I’m changing my bank account over.

Most replacements are refurbished, meaning you’re probably gonna end up with someone else’s **bleep** and others will most likely end up with your’s. Did you received a 1TB or the newer 2TB?

1TB replacement.

My main concern is the fact that my HDMI was damaged on the old one and this one looks like someone puts their HDMI cable into the hub in the dark.

I’ve dealt with many big companies eg Sennheiser,Logitech regarding replacements of goods from £20 to £400 and they have always sent me a new product BEFORE I’ve had to send any faulty goods back and on most occasions were not even bothered about the faulty goods being returned.

The way I see  this is that a HDD has moving parts so this device is already worn and used and has possibly less lifetime on it.

The icing on the cake is that the ethernet connection doesn’t even work.

Try the usual process that I used with my first hub and nothing the ethernet is dead no lights no things.

Wonderful.

I basically want a NEW unit or my money back.

Brand new unit sent out.
