It’s funny I’ve been having a bit of problem too with my HDMI flickering (snow screen for a split-second) once in a while. I thought it to be from my A/V receiver but now come to think of it, the problem might stem from the WD HUB.
I received my replacement hub today and guess what it is clearly not a new unit it is covered in loads of scratches around the hdmi where some moron couldn’t put the cable in straight.Scratches all over the botom of the unit it didn’t even come in a new box.
I am absolutly fuming about this.
If they expect me to pay for this within 30 days they can think again this best be sorted within the 30 days of the RMA there is no way I’m paying anything for this I’m changing my bank account over.
Most replacements are refurbished, meaning you’re probably gonna end up with someone else’s **bleep** and others will most likely end up with your’s. Did you received a 1TB or the newer 2TB?
My main concern is the fact that my HDMI was damaged on the old one and this one looks like someone puts their HDMI cable into the hub in the dark.
I’ve dealt with many big companies eg Sennheiser,Logitech regarding replacements of goods from £20 to £400 and they have always sent me a new product BEFORE I’ve had to send any faulty goods back and on most occasions were not even bothered about the faulty goods being returned.
The way I see this is that a HDD has moving parts so this device is already worn and used and has possibly less lifetime on it.
