I cannot connect to mycloud home duo on today

Dear WD support/service team,

Shouldn’t you send an email to notify your valuable customers about this matter of not having them access their drive? Why should I have to spend 1 day finding what is happening? Don’t you think that I need the files in the drive on your maintenance date?

Your service ■■■■■. Admit it and make a noticeable improvement to your customers.

Grrrrr

Does anyone still have problem? I still cannot access my drive!!

Update, I can access my cloud home drives but NOT my cloud home duo. Just want to know that WD is still working on the duo? or should it work now following my cloud home drives?

I have a single drive cloud and cloud duo, can’t access both

Hi Luciano nice to meet you, how you update your HD? How did you solve the problem?

My iCloud Home is also still offline. I’ve power cycled 10 times and nothing.

Hello, nice to meet you , How can I do the power cycle?

Power cycle just means the famous old turn it off and back on trick. Mine doesn’t have a power button that I know of so I just unplugged it, waited a couple minutes, and then plugged it back in. But it didn’t solve the issue.

Hi Kan.

Had the same issue today and I confirm that our MyCloud Home Duo is now up and runing

Best Regards

Can you please advise how you were able to resolve the issue with your device?

Hi Jorge,

Technically I didn’t do anything, I asked for help here in the comments, and a few minutes later WD adimn sent me this message:

""My Cloud Home Users,

We experienced an issue with our service that brought your My Cloud Home or ibi device offline.
We understand that your data is important to you, and the content on your device is not at risk from this outage.
The issue has been addressed with an update that is now available.
The update will install automatically within a few hours, or you may speed up the process by power cycling the unit once.

Sincerely,
The My Cloud Home and ibi Teams"“”

and then, I turned off and on my my cloud, and I was able to access my documents.

I hope you have the same luck.

best regards

Hi Kan!

Yes, it would be very nice to receive a notification that the system is down. Unfortunately there have been some similar situations like this with WD, so this is the first step I do, before I start to understand what’s wrong with not having access to my cloud (NAS). It always ends up being a WD issue, from updates or authentication issues. But instead of coming here to say this is all bad, maybe we can give WD suggestions and ideas to improve their products once we already have them. In this sense, I suggest to WD that they have a “button” for direct access to the page they provided today (http://status.mycloud.com/os4), so that anyone who doesn’t know the community yet, can see if the problem is with WD servers, or is it an isolated error. No doubt it will make it easier to understand the problem, especially for people who use it daily.

Best regards.

Hi Helder How did you solve the issue?

Thanks

Hi Jorge!

The same way Luciano3 explained. Its a mater of time. Just leave the NAS do it work.

Best Regards.

How long did it take to work after you turned it off and on? I just turned it off and on again but this time the light is “slow breathing” dimming and lighting slowly, and this has been going on for about 15 minutes? When I powered on and off earlier the light stayed solid within a couple minutes. I’m wondering if it’s downloading the update or if I just need to try it again?

Hi,

is anyone’s device working already without powering on and off? I’m a bit worried that it might not update automatically as I’m not at home right now …

My home cloud duo is now on a steady light but still, after a lot of resets, power off power on, doesn’t came online. Still having issues? Or yours is working now? And how do you manage to get your data in this situation on other device?
