Mac Time Machine suddenly not working with WD My Cloud

I’ve been using my WD My Cloud to back up two MacBooks for the past two years with no issues. Suddenly, on Jan 30, 2018, both of them stopped seeing the WD disk and back ups stopped happening. If I try to select WD MY Cloud as my Time Machine backup disk it gives an option to remove it (I don’t want to lose old backups). Any thoughts as to what is going on?

The same for me. In first week of January I was able to backup my my macbook, but now I also cannot. Is this due to the latest version? 2.30.181

Hi, I just tried to remove the share where I had the timemachine backup and now it is working again. Of course I lost all my previous backups but they were not important for me.
