I want to make sure I am covering all the basses before I roll back. I updated my device with the new firmware. At first I could not load the media library it said current source could not be found. Somehow but not long I got it so I went through some of my movies all iso and it seemed to be good as far as locking up, one movie I still had an issue with menu just a black screen. That is when the problem happened it rebooted on its own and now it is compiling media library for over 8 hours and still nothing. I even cleared the library and started over. At least before I could view the files as they were scanned now I cannot but in folder mode I am ok I have a dvd disc in center of screen loading non stop.
when it was working I tried a couple of issues I would have loved resolved to find out they have not been resolved which is search using 3rd party xmls and the playlists restarting after 60 or so movies. So I guess rolling back is not great big issue but at some point abnd time I would like to know if WD is going to stop adding 3rd party services and concentrate on their serious media library problems. I try to be patient with WD but on my side of the fence is I paid a fair price for this unit and the the very things it advertises it will do somewhere there is a bug in something always seems at least on my end the 3rd party services work flawlessly
Any suggestions to get the media library reckognized my structer is as **bleep** I am using network shares I have a NAS with 7 hard drives all movies are iso and they are all on the root of each drive. The old frimware version I had no problems but it was the 2.4.13 I think it was three firmwares back. It took only 30 to 60 seconds to compile library before. Any idea would be apreciated
Thanks
Terry
