My WD My Book Essential can’t connect

Hi!

I’m having trouble to recognize my WD My Book external harddrive on my laptop. I bought new cables to see if that wasn’t the problem, but it still didn’t help. The harddrive is recognized by my TV but I can also not access the files on it.

Please help!
