MYCloud not responding to Apple Time Machine restore or migrate

I have been using WDMYCloud as my back up drive through Time Machine on my iMac since December of 2015. I have successfully done a restore of all of my 3.1TB of data back to my Mac. The Mac store had to do an erase of my drive in order to put Sierra on there and when I went to do a restore of my data from the WDmycloud, I got error messages. After about 15 calls to Apple and 6 to WD (their support is not very good) I still can’t retreive my data. It shows in the dashboard that the 3.1 TB is on it under “Other” and but getting the correct IP address finally I thought that would solve the problem but no. I can at least see the back up dates now off the the right of the desktop but Time Machine still won’t mount. Since it is in a sparse bundle WD is a third party to Apple, the engineers have said I have to do a data recovery which could cost hundreds. How can that be??? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
John

Hello Jroweski,

Maybe you should try contacting WD’s Technical Support about this.

Yeah. That worked well for the OP, didn’t it…?
