Software for auto sync/backup between my PC and MyCloud

I recently purchased a MyCloud device- quite impressive, but I’m having trouble figuring it out.

Which software to use to set up auto sync/backup between my folders/files and MyCloud device located abroad

I’ve been trying to figure out if there is a way to use software like Goodsync/Syncback SE (etc) to sync folders on my computer directly to my WD Mycloud storage device.

I am in Beijing for a period of time and want to be able to backup folders and files on my PC here in Beijing to my 2TB MyCloud that is located in Canada.

Which software would be best suited to do this? I am not very technically knowledgable and prefer to use something with a straightforward interface. I had previously used SpiderOak for cloud storage and liked its interface. Can Goodsync or Syncback be used to sync/backup selected folders on my computer with the MyCloud device?

If so, is there a simple tutorial to show me how to set this up?

Thanks very much for any advice!

You could go to www.wd2go.com, and connect to the shares. This will create a mapped drive on your machine. You can then use syncbackSE to sync to that drive

Thanks for your reply.

Do mean first sign in at www.wd2go.com, then click on one of my “Shares” in order to “Open in Explorer”?

And from here I would use syncback SE or Goodsync to connect to the mapped drive “Ray_ (\rayscloud-device952659.wd2go.com@SSL)”?

Is this correct?  Then it means that each time I start my computer I would have to repeat this process to get the sync running. Is that correct?

Also, which backup application would you recommend? Syncback or Goodsync? I want to use an application that is cross-platform in case I make the switch to Linux.
