Trouble with WD2GO (Not able to connect to Western Digital My Book Live Duo) on same network

Hi,

I have a 6TB Western Digital My Book Live Duo which is running the latest firmware. This NAS is connected to a Linksys WRT54GS wireless router which has upnp enabled. I have an ipad and iphone connected to the same wireless router. I have installed WD2GO amd WD Photo on both ipad and iphone.

On both application when i press thc Connect Now tab im able to view by NAS box. When i click on it, it ask me the user credentials with the usernames as the two accounts i have created on the NAS. But even when i give the correct password for both username the device gives me error message “Unable to connect to device.Please verify the password and try agian”. This is happening with both WD2GO amd WD Photo applications.When give a wrong password it gives me error message which says password is incorrect. But when i give correct password i get the above message.

Does any one has any clue why this is happening? Here I’m trying to access the NAS which is locally connected to wireless router with out much help. I have even tried updating the firmware on the router but still i get the same error :frowning:

Any help is much appreaciated.

This may not be much help to you, but further to my own thread below yours, are you able to try logging into the MBL remotely using a windows computer? If you are able, could you try navigating to wd2go.com where you will be asked to input your login details and proceed from there. It may provide a clue, or indeed further information for the real experts on this forum. Regards, yt.

Yes im able to access MBL from windows through wired network.Also If i try externallay using internet im able to access my NAS box from both Ipad and Iphone. It is only the local network access which seems to be not working
