Almost New HDD Stopped working

Hello Guys,

I purchased a new hdd almost 9 months ago from a retail store.

And 2-3 days ago it started getting hang.

I thought it was a problem of Window so I formatted and installed a fresh copy ofwinodws 7 and used it.

I shut down  the computer and went to sleep and next morning I woke up when turned on the PC,

the drive was not booting up.

I have tried the Hdd in another computer but it is not working nor it is not showing in BIOS.

My hdd is WD 1TB Green.

Model No.:WD10EZRX - 00L4HB0

I talked to customer support and they are ready to provide a replacement but the main problem is that I will lose all the important data that I had stored on the hard disk.

HDD is getting powered but not showing any response.

I can feel it spinning/working.

And there are no data recovery centre where I live.

So any help is appreciated.

Hello,

As a recommendation, connect the drive as a secondary unit and test the drive using the WD DLG tool.
