EX2 USB Backups

I want to backup to my WD MyBook  2Tb which is connected to the the USB port on my WD My Cloud EX2.

I can see it as a USB connected device in the dashboard, but after selecting the destination folder, the field is blank.

Also cannot map it as a drive letter in the Quick view (here it only has the option to Eject).

It does not show in the shares on the dashboard either.

I Used the discovery tool to detect it, but it does not show in the list of decovered devices.

Any advise would be appreciated

I dont have a Mybook so I cant really help you much here, but I can say that a quick search of the EX2 and EX4 forums reveals that there may be an issue with the backup function since the last firmware update.
